Fiercely loyal to the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Phury has sacrificed himself for the good of the race, becoming the male responsible for keeping the Brotherhood's bloodlines alive. As Primale of the Chosen, he is obligated to father the sons and daughters who will ensure that the traditions of the race survive, and that there are warriors to fight those who want all vampires extinguished.
As his first mate, the Chosen Cormia wants to win not only his body but his heart for herself. She is drawn to the noble responsibility behind the emotionally scarred male. But Phury has never allowed himself to know pleasure or joy. As the war with the Lessening Society grows grim, tragedy looms over the Brotherhood's mansion, and Phury must decide between duty and love...
Ok first off I must say I love this series. Thatbeing said I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this book. I wanted to read more of the Phury/Cormias' bonding experience that the previous books had. The romance was rushed and played more into the background story. I feel JR made this book as a setup to more books to come and lost focus on the current book she was writing. I actually become more engrossed with the background players( JM, Blaine, Qhuinn Revhenge andXhex) than the two whose book it was. I think JR writes a great series and even though this wasn't one of her best it was still a good and enjoyable read

Witch Fire by Anya Bast
After a chaotic marriage and a rough divorce, all Mira Hoskins wants is stability and normality. But when sexy Jack McAllister enters her life, she discovers that what you want isn't always what you need.
Jack is a powerful witch with the ability to command fire and is anything but normal. As the head of a security detail for The Coven, a national organization that governs national witches, Jack has been assigned to watch over Mira. She is a natural born witch with the ability to call the air. And although she is unaware of her talent, a group of renegade witches has discovered her existence and are determined to steal her power--and her life.
Going into reading this book , I thought for sure this would be considered UF. I thought this would be a drawn out romance that spanned books with a lot of sexual tension. Boy was I wrong! The sex was on and hotter than ever once Jack and Mira stopped holding back. It's wasn't gratuitous but it was just enough to get you hot and bothered. The progression of the characters romance was very well paced and the subplot was more than enough to keep you turning the pages. This was my first experince reading Bast and I must say she did not disappoint me. I have moved her up into my must read/buy list. She's definitely an author to watch out for/add to your TBR pile.

She's No Faerie Princess By Christine Warren
Queen Mab's niece, Fiona, has long been bored to tears by the intrigues of Court life. She'd prefer to cut loose at a punk club, knock back a few Thai beers, and hook up with a likely lad of similar interests. But when Fiona goes AWOL, she only gets as far as Manhattan's Inwood Park before a nasty demon nearly puts a permanent crimp in her plans—and a dark stranger sparks her desire...
All work and no play make Tobias Walker one cranky werewolf. After six months of doing his part to keep the peace during the delicate negotiations between the Others and humankind, he'd like nothing more than a good night's sleep—preceded by an enthusiastic mating session. The alluring woman he rescues in the park might be the answer to his most lustful prayers, but only if they can both stay alive long enough to find out who wants her dead and why.
Now, Fiona and Tobias must unravel a tangled web of treachery that spans branches of the Fae, Other, and mortal worlds, all the while falling into a dangerous attraction that could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship—or the end for them both...
After reading Wolf At The Door I held out little hope for this squel. A little hope goes far b/c this . The plot /romance wasn't rushed like the first book in The Others series. Everything played out nicely from the romance which was fast but still oozed the sexual tension that most books in the PNR/UF genre have. The subplot with the murders an unveiling was not swept under the rug of the romance but it was still predictable. I love the relationship that Fiona/Tobias have. The exchanges they had with each made out for some LOL and "I need to Fan myself" moments. I give She's No Faerie Princess( The Others 2) 4 out of 5 stars b/c it was truly a step up from it's prequel.

Sex and the Psychic Witch
The premise-
Harmony, a buyer for her sister's curio shop and Witch with the ability to read objects/learn things about their former owner finds a Celtic ring at an costume yard sale. The ring leads to King Paxton inheritor of a haunted castle. Harmony's presence alone stops the wailing ghost and the fighting b/t King's construction crew. The attraction is immediate b/t King and Harmony as they try and figure out why the ghost is angry and causing problems.
I am not one to not finish books but this book made my head hurt. 20 pages in and I couldn't take the repetitive dialog b/t the soon to be romantic item. The authors failed attempt at wit fell flat and the story was so underdeveloped that I felt like my 6yr could have written a better story. This was the first book that I have read from this author and although this book, which is first in the Triplet Trilogy , was not up to my standards. I'm willing to give her Kitchen Witch books a try since they come recommended. I hate to give up on an author after just reading one crappy book. My rating for this book would have to be 1 out of 5 stars. The one being for a great premise that was not executed correctly.
